Know Google One Pricing in Different Countries – All Plans

Google One Pricing discounts and benefits vary country by country. Google has a free storage plan of 15GB. Previously you could upgrade to paid Google Drive storage, which was costly. It was not within the reach of the average customer. Since 2018, Google One has become the de facto standard of cloud storage services from Google.

For just $1.99/month you can get 100GB of storage and other discounts. To add a security layer, a VPN layer is provided for Android devices.

Google One Family includes membership benefits. You can include five more members who can share your storage. Each one’s data will be private to each other. You can give permission to share photos and files.

What is Google One?

It is a monthly or annual subscription plan where you can increase the online cloud storage limit. It can be used across Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos. The other advantage is that it can be shared across your family members. (maximum 6 including you).

Google One can be used on your browser, desktop and mobile. It can be used as an app on Android phones. You can install Google Drive desktop app to fulfill your storage requirements. The default 15GB will be upgraded to 100GB or 200GB or 2TB based upon your plan. Your profile pic will be also in Google’s branded color of red, green, blue and orange.

Users who have already have paid google drive storage are automatically upgrade to the 2TB Google One plan. In simple terms, Google Drive is an inner cup of one Google One cooker. Gmail and Google Photos are other services which have their own limitations.

Google Drive pricing doesn’t exist any more. It has been engulfed by Google One. You will get all the benefits of cloud storage and other premium services like YouTube and VPN, when the right premium plan is taken.

Depending on the country of residence or ISP, the benefits of Google One slightly vary. The pricing structure will be in the country currency. The basic plan provides 100GB storage, access to Google experts, share with up to 5 members, extra member benefits.

The standard plan has 200 GB storage with some percentage back in Store Credit on Google Store purchase in some countries.

The premium plans of 2TB, 5TB, 10TB, 20TB, 30TB are for high-end users. The plans equal to and greater than 5TB are visible only if you are already a Google One subscriber.

You can always upgrade to the next plan. Annual discounts are available in most of the countries.

You can save 16% on annual billing on Basic and Standard plans. For the Premium plan it will be 17%. In addition you get 3% back in Store Credit to make Google Store purchases for 200GB plan. For 2TB plans and higher you get 10% back in Store Credit and VPN for Android.

Google One Membership

Are you still in dilemma to sign up for Google One or not? You need not prick your brain too much. Just casually keep using on your Gmail, Google Photos and Google Drive storage as you would do. From time to time, check your Google account storage which can be seen in your Gmail account.

If it exceeds the 15GB free limit, then you can upgrade to the next 100GB plan. It is most sufficient if you are using not too many videos as a backup. If that storage is full then you can upgrade to 200GB again. You always have the chance to subscribe to a higher plan. Just chill.
